grew up watching my Grandmother recycle – everything!
Nothing in our house was ever wasted. Rescuing old lace and
linens is my way of paying homage to the countless women
like my mother and grandmother. Skilled artists in their own
right, who anonymously created their hand work to pass on to
future generations.... Fabric is about history and memory...
The DNA of all the souls who have touched it.... Presently
my work is focused on the integration of painting and
papermaking as a single medium. I use disintegrating antique
textiles and other recycled materials as part of the process
to create my mixed media art (paper)..." |
